The Chinese have released a robot that helps completely in the household, including all known tasks: cleaning, cooking, washing – just everything. And this is just the beginning of the year 2026. I believe that such robots will be available everywhere in two years and ten times smarter.

Pay attention – a very clever solution. It has no legs. This eliminates at least 70% of the technical problems. It moves on a stable platform, as most apartments have flat floors. Even if there are stairs, it’s not particularly difficult to develop a platform that can overcome them. That’s much, much easier than building a robot with legs. A successful example of a rational approach – the Chinese are really strong.

I think the huge but highly fragmented market for household helpers, cleaners, cooks, etc. will soon approach zero. Of course, there will still be the issue of cybersecurity, and most likely such robots will become part of a larger smart home concept.


The article sounds quite impressive, but to be honest, it’s more of a mix of hype and real developments.

I believe this is not about a concrete finished household robot that you can already buy, but rather prototypes from companies like UBTECH Robotics or Xiaomi. Such robots are often shown in videos where they supposedly clean, cook, and help in the household. In reality, these are mostly demonstrations under controlled conditions, not everyday life.

The idea of having no legs is actually quite sensible. A platform with wheels is much more stable, cheaper, and technically simpler than a humanoid robot. On this point, the author is right. But the biggest problem is not movement, but interaction with the environment: grasping, recognizing, distinguishing, making decisions. This is still extremely difficult for robots today.

As for the functions – “doing everything in the household” – that is simply not realistic at the moment. Robots can already vacuum well, but cooking, doing laundry completely, or taking on complex tasks – that only works in very limited scenarios or in the lab.

The statement that everyone will have such a robot in two years seems exaggerated to me. At the moment, such systems are very expensive, often unreliable, and still far from being mass products. Even large companies like Tesla are still in the development phase with their humanoid robots.

Also, the idea that the market for cleaners will completely disappear is, in my opinion, too radical. It’s more likely that robots will take over some tasks while humans will still be needed – at least for a long time.

What I find really important, though, is the issue of safety. Such robots would be equipped with cameras, sensors, and internet connections. This brings clear risks – from data protection to potential hacks.

In short: Yes, the development is real and exciting. But the article exaggerates the current state and the speed at which all this will take hold.
